Travel Tips

• Slippery roads in winter: From November to March, we recommend wearing non-slip shoes and walking slowly.
• Ropeways and observatories are weather-dependent: Mt. Usu Ropeway, Mt. Tengu Observatory, and similar sites will be arranged according to daily weather and operational status; itineraries may be adjusted in cases of high winds or heavy fog.
• Onsen etiquette: Please rinse your body before entering and tie back long hair; check individual facility rules regarding tattoos.
• Pick-up and meeting: Some routes include pick-up from hotels in downtown Sapporo. Please wait in the lobby at the agreed-upon time; late arrivals will be considered a voluntary forfeit.
